Private UK pharmacies need a BMI of 30 or above for Mounjaro. With a weight related health condition, 27 is enough. Wegovy uses the same two numbers.

- Orlistat 120mg: 30, or 28 with risk factors.
- Alli 60mg: 28.
What counts as a weight related condition
High blood pressure, type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, raised cholesterol, sleep apnoea, heart or circulation disease.

BMI equals weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared. In imperial units, multiply your weight in pounds by 703, then divide by your height in inches twice.
A second measure: your waist
NICE suggests keeping your waist below half your height. Measure midway between your lowest rib and your hip bone.
Different rules on the NHS
NHS supply needs a BMI of 35 plus four health conditions. Mounjaro NHS eligibility.
Ethnic background
Health risk rises at a lower BMI for people of South Asian, Chinese, other Asian, Middle Eastern, Black African or African-Caribbean background. NICE recommends lower thresholds, and the NHS cohorts subtract 2.5.
Honesty at the consultation
Pharmacies verify weight. Overstating yours to qualify risks a refused order and puts you on a medicine outside its licence.
