Novo Nordisk does not recommend counting clicks on a Wegovy pen and publishes no click count. This calculator does the sum once your pharmacist or prescriber gives you the number of clicks in one full dose.

Read this first. Novo Nordisk does not support counting clicks. The Wegovy pen is licensed to give four full doses of one strength. A part dose is outside the licence. Count clicks only if your own prescriber has told you to, and follow the number your prescriber gives you.

Why Penzilla gives no click count for Wegovy
Wegovy pens differ by strength, and the maker publishes no count for any of them. Figures passed around online conflict. Penzilla will not print a number nobody can check, so the calculator asks for the count from your own pharmacist.
The sum behind the calculator
Clicks equal the full dose count multiplied by your dose, divided by the pen strength. Half the pen strength means half the clicks.
What Novo Nordisk says
Novo Nordisk does not recommend using click counting to prepare a dose. The Institute for Safe Medication Practices reports the same position and warns of dosing errors.
What can go wrong
- Miscounting. One slip gives you too much or too little medicine.
- An old pen. Part doses leave medicine in the pen past its in use limit.
- Infection. Every extra injection from one pen adds risk.
- No evidence. No published study supports click counting.
Too large a dose brings severe sickness. Call 111 if you think you have injected too much.
