Evidence beyond weight
In the SELECT trial of 17,604 adults with cardiovascular disease, semaglutide 2.4mg reduced heart attacks, strokes and cardiovascular deaths by a fifth.

Licence and NHS
Wegovy is licensed for adults with a BMI of at least 30, or at least 27 alongside a weight related condition. On the NHS, specialist weight management services supply Wegovy for up to two years under NICE TA875.
